Tour Itinerary
Day 01 - Arrive Chennai
After you arrive at the cultural capital of India, that is Chennai, our representatives escort you to the hotel. After some rest and lunch, you are taken to the Government Museum, which is known for the various historic galleries, like the Hindu Sculpture Gallery, the Bronze Gallery, the Amravati Gallery and the National Art Gallery.
The next visit is to the Fort St. George, believed to be the first construction of the British on the Indian land. It is located on the shores of Bay of Bengal. The last visit for the day is the Kapaleeswarar temple. There is an overnight stay at Chennai.
Day 02 - Chennai - Tirupathi - Chennai by surface (152 kms one way)
Today is an excursion trip to the richest shrine on earth, the Tirupathi Venkateshwara temple. It is located at the mountain top, named Tirumala. It is a really beautiful temple within a natural surrounding; you can check out the Akashganga waterfall, the Puskarini tank, the TTD gardens and one of the ancient museums of the country, the Dhayana Mandiram.
Though there is a huge gathering of devotees here, you need not worry; as the darshan is well organized and our experienced representatives are there to look after your safety and convenience. After the evening aarti, you return to Chennai for an overnight stay.
Day 03 - Chennai - Tirupathi - Chennai by surface (152 kms one way)
After an early breakfast, you head towards the treasury of South Indian art and culture, Mahabalipuram. Located on the Coromondal coast, the special features of the place lies in the rock cut caves and the monolithic temples.
The next visit is to the holy city of Kanchipuram, which once had 1000 temples; now you can view 200 out of them. Besides architectural efficacy, this place is also famous for its hand weaved cotton and silk dress materials. You return to Chennai for an overnight stay.
Day 04 - Chennai - Madurai by flight
Post breakfast, head towards the Ramganga reservoir. Here you get an ariel view of the surroundings from atop Observation Tower. Its an absolute delight for the birdwatchers. Here they can explore and observe birds such as storks, kingfishers, terns, fish eagles and so on. During winters, Dhikala is a preferred location for migratory birds from Central Asia and Europe. Evening dinner at the Dhikala resort and relax overnight.
Day 05 - Madurai- Chennai by flight
Today you get back to Chennai via flight. You can relax and shop at the nearby markets rest of the day. Chennai is known for various art facts and the silk saris.
Day 06 - Depart Chennai
You depart the gateway of South India and board flight back to Delhi. End of the programme. Check-in and check-out time is 12 noon at all hotels.
