Tour Itinerary
Day 01 - Trivandrum - Kovalam by surface (16 kms)
On the first day of Discover of Kerala Tour Package, arrive at Trivandrum Airport/Railway Station where our representative will meet you and transfer you to the Kovalam hotel/resort. Check-in into hotel, after freshening up and relaxing for a couple hours, you’ll be driven to the Trivandrum city for a short yet amazing sightseeing tour. Napier Museum, Sri Chitra Art Gallery, Kuthiramalika Museum, and the famous Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple will take up the rest of the day. In evening return to hotel and spend your free time by revitalizing and dozing off on the sandy beaches of Kovalam flanked by coconut groves on one side and Arabian Sea on the other.Overnight stay at Kovalam hotel/ resort.
Day 02 - Kovalam - Alleppey by surface (176 kms)
Morning after breakfast drive to Alleppey or Alappuzha noted as the “Venice of the East” famous for its boat races, backwater holidays, beaches, marine products and coir industry. Upon arrival check-in into House Boat and enjoy the surrounding countryside and the lifestyle of villagers who live near the canals. Besides the fascinating houseboat and scenery, entertainment facilities at the Vijaya Beach Park and an old lighthouse nearby fascinate you. Overnight stay at houseboat.
Day 03 - Alleppy - Kumarakom by surface (51 kms)
The third day of your tour will let you further to explore the primeval grace of Kumarakom. After check-in into hotel you will try to visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary which is famous for wildlife and bound to offer you unique glimpses of a myriad wildlife, like spotted deer, elephants, bison, leopard, tigers and so on or a wonderful experience on some boating and sunset cruise in Kumarakom backwaters. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.
Day 04 - Kumarakom - Thekkady by surface (127 kms)
Your day four of the Discover of Kerala tour proceeds to Thekkady (Periyar) which will give you innumerable opportunities to seize or catch the natural largess. Check-in to the hotel and head towards the picturesque Periyar National Park situated in the middle of the Cardamom Hills. This nature reserve is home to a huge range of flora and fauna and some of the most important species of primates which only find here are the rare lion-tailed macaque, the Nilgiri Langur, the common Langur, and the Bonnet Macaque. In evening you may opt for a pleasant boat ride along the Periyar Lake or visit on a few tribal villages around Periyar and witness fascinating activities of tribal collecting honey from dangerous hill bees. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 05 - Thekkady - Munnar by surface (124 kms)
Set out for another journey, as you are transferred from the marvellous Periyar to the beautiful hill station of Kerala “Munnar”. Transfer to hotel on arrival and spend the remaining day at leisure or enjoy scenic surroundings. As an alternate, you can also spend your free time by visiting the aromatic tea plantations or involve in thrilling sport activities like paragliding. Overnight stay at hotel/resort.
Day 06 - Munnar
Day 6 of Discover of Kerala Tour package is devoted to sightseeing in and around Munnar. Enjoy scenic views of Anaimudi, the largest peak of South India at 2695 m, is apparent from Munnar. Visit the Christ Church and proceed for wildlife watching at Eravikulam National Park (16 km). Continue to Rajamala Hills nestled on the border of the park and stop by at Madupetty Dam, a noted picnic spot for boating and horse riding. Return to hotel/resort for overnight stay.
Day 07 - Munnar - Cochin by surface (130 kms)
Stuff yourself with a delicious breakfast as you start early for your next spot, Kochi. After reaching Kochi, freshen up at the hotel and get ready for an interesting sightseeing schedule planned just for you include Jew Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Chinese fishing net etc. Bind up your day by enjoying a tempting dinner at the hotel/resort and relaxing in the cosy of your room.
Day 08 - Cochin - Airport / Railway Station
